Lungs EP is the second release of piedmont NC art-rockers, Casual Curious. Being their first release since expanding from a duo to a quintet, Lungs reveals the band's shift to more live instrumental dance arrangements. Even though the songs show a step away from electronic oriented rock, the EP still incorporates electronic production that makes it unique to the live experience. Frontman T. Lee Gunselman states,
"Lungs is about the basic things that drive us and make up who we are: money, the media, sex, and relationships; the human things. Even though these things are important to us, they can bring us down and give us fear. What is important is what we have that makes us alive and what allows us to breathe. It may seem hard to go on living without the ones that are important to us, but it is impossible to live without your Lungs"
